RECUWATT was created after several years of reflection, understanding that there was an important need in Spain to speak objectively, rigorously and honestly about Energy Valorization in all its forms and also a need to anticipate the European Regulation which would end up restricting the undifferentiated use of the landfill as a system of final treatment of waste. The original format of RECUWATT has been transformed throughout its four editions which have consolidated the Consorcio de Residuos del Maresme as a referent Public Entity involved in the promotion and awareness of third parties, administrations and private companies, in the correct management of waste.

Thus it opens wide to the economy of resources and also centrally to the local world and innovation, with an eminently international focus so that attendees can learn first hand about remarkable experiences from around the world, share knowledge, make learning and confirm once again as an unavoidable reference point in the world of municipal waste management.
