AI isn’t here to replace events. It’s here to make them indispensable.

For years, a university degree was synonymous with professional stability. Artificial intelligence has changed that equation. And I’m not only talking about technology: I’m talking about how work, opportunities and the way we connect with each other are being reorganised.

The more digital the world becomes, the more value the human element has.

AI is democratising knowledge at a staggering speed. McKinsey & Company estimates that up to 30% of today’s working hours could be automated before 2030. But this is where the paradox appears: when knowledge is abundant, what becomes scarce is trust. Relationships. The conversations that lead to decisions.

In that context, networking stops being an add-on and becomes a real economic asset. According to LinkedIn, more than 70% of professional opportunities come through personal connections. B2B events are no longer just spaces to listen to talks: they are where projects are born, alliances are sealed and investment moves. It isn’t about bringing a lot of people together, but about connecting the right people.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) estimates that 50% of workers will need to reskill before 2027. That also transforms the format: congresses are evolving towards workshops, innovation labs and co-creation spaces. You no longer go to listen. You go to move forward.

No company innovates alone. It needs startups, technology partners and specialised talent. And events are the place where all of that comes together.

We are moving from organising events to designing business catalysts. In a world where information is one click away, the value no longer lies in knowing more, but in making things happen.

AI will redefine many things. But there is something that is going to grow: the need for spaces where people meet, trust each other and build together. Information will be abundant. Quality connections won’t. Whoever knows how to create them will be more valuable than ever.
